The Concept2 Indoor Rower is a rowing machine designed to offer you high quality exercise for the rest of your life. The new Model D builds on Concept2’s 20 years of experience designing rowing machines, incorporating many new features into a machine that is a significant step forward. This latest version of the Concept2 Indoor Rower was introduced and customer responses continue to be enthusiastic and positive.
Highlights of the design include:

New ergonomically designed handle -
Pick up the new Model D handle and you'll immediately notice a different feel. The overmoulded plastic grips use a soft rubber that is easy to hold, and won't catch sweat, grease and dirt like older open cell foam rubber grips, and are more durable to boot. The new handle is slightly longer than the previous wood handles and features an ergonomic 10 degree bend. This slight angle, combined with the overall handle shape, better simulates the arm position of on-water rowing and provides a more comfortable rowing position throughout the rowing stroke.
Flywheel enclosure -
The front end of the Model D offers a number of important new features. The most obvious is that the flywheel enclosure has been completely redesigned. The custom moulded cover offers greater impact-resistance and the stainless steel perforated outlet strip will resist rust. The strip can be easily removed for occasional dust-removal. The new spiral damper creates an even wider range of damper settings than the Model C damper.
Less visible is a new quiet cog system, borrowed from motorcycle technology, which significantly softens the sound of rowing by damping the chain noise with a pair of urethane washers on each side of the cog.
Easy to Store
The Indoor Rower easily separates into two pieces which can be stored standing in a closet or corner. Or it does not need to be separated and can be stored vertically by standing on its base.
And built-in caster wheels make it easy for one person to move the Indoor Rower. |
